This is not related to the gold details of the texture.
It's possible your player data got deleted in the world, although I'm not sure how. Unless you're accidentally using a different account.
also triggers action for off-hand instead (ex: shield is held up, bow fires)
Still getting this in 1.17 and 1.17.1. Game freezes for upwards of 10 minutes when leveling up a cartographer.
