Same exact issue on mine (Samsung S21 Ultra 5G) running Android 12. I am able to access the data folder on Android without root with a third-party app, but the permission is denied as soon as you enter the com.mojang folder. I'm able to modify the files for almost every other app, so I don't see why Minecraft can't.
Please fix this soon, I do need access to the game's files in order to continue to develop data packs for the game.
