I have the same issue and it's even worse when playing multiplayer. It's so disappointing when it crashes and then sometimes doesn't save your progress. There are times where I know it'll crash because it freezes and then crashes. OR it will freeze and then temporarily fix itself for a short period and then crash. I have never had an issue with another game so I also know it's not my system but the game itself.
