I tested this myself. It seems you can't eat any foods when your cursor is on the fences hit box. Just so no one has to test this later, it does not apply to cobblestone walls.

It's not a glitch. The wool on the sheep and the mushrooms on the mooshrooms back are both considered armor. If you shear an invisible sheep, it will become completely invisible, excluding the particle effects.
