I'm having this issue on PC too.
Same two issuses.. I simply cant type on anything because the bacspace just moves between the letters and the spacebar too and sometimes it just separates the letters making stuff worst. And the chat becomes black too. It is an ios only glitch problem. I have ios 7 ipad mini and ios 6 ipod 4th generation, but the problem is on the ipad.
Its true. Two of my friends and I have the same problems. I have dine the same thing: resetting, deleting and redownloading but it just doesnt get fixed and i cant join servers either because of it. I use an iPad Mini ios7.1.2 and it doesnt work there. Yet, on my ipod 4th generation ios 6.1.3 it works perfectly. Both are on Minecraft PE version 0.13.0. Please Fix ASAP
