I'm getting this same issue on v0.13.1 - The issue is exactly as described (Can't open world, can connect to worlds generated by other devices, can see worlds copied from another device but then fails to open them when copied locally). My nephew is pretty upset his chirstmas pressent still isn't working.

Device: tabl-it (https://www.besttabletcompany.co.uk/product/tabl-it-7/)
Android version: 4.4.4
Kernel version: 3.4.0+

Opening I found the following error:
games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds\u0IAAE9cAAA=\db

  • LOG

    • "2015/12/28-11:00:39.780451 6ae00008 MANIFEST write: IO error: /mnt/sdcard/games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds//u0IAAE9cAAA=/db: Bad file number"

      • I wonder if it has something to do with the double slash?

  • MANIFEST-000001 file:

    • "•|¹Å" leveldb.BytewiseComparator "

I also appear to have an extra db folder:

games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds\u0IAAE9cAAA=\db\db
