The microsoft thing worked for us in the beginning, but now it doesnt. In fact, we found we could play longer once logged out.

And now my sons new world is doing this as well. ANOTHER one he has spent countless hours building. How is this still happening?

Months of no answers, people opening new tickets with similar issues and still NOTHING.

Yes, it is still an issue after the update. 

Out of nowhere yesterday this started happening to us. We cant play for more than a minute or two without it closing. Every other game is fine. We re-downloaded and checked for corrupt files. Nothing.
