I'm having the same issue. I cannot move stacks of books. I even tried to make bookshelves out of the books in my inventory, and the number that I could craft in the crafting window would go down, but my stack stayed at 64 and i received no bookshelves. I've tried starting new worlds, and reinstalling minecraft, nothing seems to solve it. It only seems to be books that are affected.
