i have the exact problem, started after the update and cant play anymore, i only managed once to get past the nether background screen, but like you i cant see any buttons or anything. i have uninstalled and reinstalled 8 times and joined and unjoined beta as well just as many times and yet nothing, all drivers up to date seemingly nothing wrong, all other games run fine including java minecraft.

I had redeemed this skin on the 1st of January and still nothing
mine hasn't even turned up yet but it has been redeemed
still nothing
