Hi Chris
I have done a spotlight search as you suggest for this folder and file, the minecraft folder is empty and there is no crash-reports folder
I searched for this file name "crash-2013-04-28_17.18.51-client.txt" and nothing is found.
I have repeated the force crash steps but it makes no difference.
??
here are the files from the crash report after the force crash.
I tried to locate the report in my user library but that folder was empty, I have taken a screen grab to show this.
So I copied the report from the crash screen. I hope it gives you the information needed?
Thanks
Anon Ymus - I hope this information is correct: Silocraft Survival Server 36/100 mc.silocraft.com
Kumasasa - I am not using a PC! How do I force crash on a Mac? I tried cmd + C but nothing happens.
thank you guys! 🙂
Hi I am not sure what you mean, sorry. My daughter plays the game and she has encountered this problem, I just updated JAVA and restarted everything but there is no change? I don't know how to find out what other plugins the server is running - can you advise? thanks
Hi Chris, thank you for still taking an interest in my issue. Apologies to others if you don't think I have a valid query.
Chris I am sorry I am not very computer literate, I will do my best to answer these questions and explain how I followed your steps:
First of all I open Minecraft from the icon which is in our dock, which was downloaded originally by my son. I put this file in the trash at the weekend hoping that I could start again and the problem would be resolved, since then I have downloaded minecraft again, this is still located in the dock.
I searched for Terminal in spotlight and it opened a terminal icon in my dock which i opened and pasted your command cd ~ ; find -L | grep -i 'minecraft.*crash.*client\.txt$' | xargs cat > ~/minecraft-crashes.txt into
It updated with some text ( I have attached a screen grab)
I then searched in spotlight again for minecraft-crashes.txt, it located a txt file with that name but the text box was empty - again this is shown in the attached screen grab.
Is it down to user error, can you tell?
I hope you can you advise?
