Moving here from MCPE-21416
This started happening to me after update 1.17.30 in a world created in 1.17.11, and has been happening more and more ever since, to the point that I can't keep any entity around me if I want to keep it because I know it will despawn.
Last incident happened at a village that I was managing to keep safe from the issue.

It's been frustrating to play recently in my survival world because everything despawns while doing normal day to day things around the base, my base is right at spawn.
If I put any mob, whether it be a cow, horse, chicken or whatever inside the pen I built and go harvest my crops or or just walk around the base for a bit i can expect them to be gone in just a few minutes. Nothing out of the ordinary has been done in that world and its been consistently happening since updating to 1.17.30 or so I believe.
Today it finally worked for me again, same machine same integrated graphics card (Intel HD graphics), same processor (Intel Celeron N2840 x2 2.16 GHz), only change that's been made to the laptop is the old hdd got swapped by an sdd, but that can't be it since I had already tried to run the game a few months back when said sdd was installed, I don't know what got changed, but I'm just glad it works again!
