Same issue on PS4 - internet is connected, game loads, I wait for 'skin failed to load' to pop up three or four times, often for the same skin slot. The character creator skin is completely blank, and I can't preview, select or buy skins from the store. Third time this has happened!!!! I was told to completely uninstall and re-install the game to fix it, which is ridiculous.
We also have this problem on our PS4 world - only been a problem since Bedrock
Same problem on PS4 - it will fail to load all skins, and then when I reload they all turn into Steve
I'm still having this problem on PS4, as are two of my friends - skins fail to load, customise character section is completely blank, and skins can't be selected or bought from the store or from owned packs. Fed up at this point, it's been bothering us every single time we play
