You have probably messed up something in Catalyst Control Center. If you set the settings in CCC higher than the game is capable of you will encounter problems. Happened to me with Dota 2. I was going to set custom settings for Skyrim and instead I set the settings to Global. Wich was to high for Dota 2 and I got huge lag and grafical issues. Try going in to CCC and reset the settings to default.
You are using a 256x256 pixels texture pack. Minecraft only supports 16x16 and lower without mods, and mods messing up Minecraft is out of Mojangs hands. This is not a bug. It's just a user error

It has almost been two years now since this bug report. Its a major issue that is being neglected. It makes me wonder if I ever will be able to use the horses in Minecraft. I'm not even the only one with this issue. PLEASE. FIX IT. I don't want to be stuck on pigs for the rest of my Minecraft gaming....
