Dear all, i just bought Minecraft for PS4 and it does not show any option to sign into the Microsoft account. Only a button to sign in into the Playstation network that however does nothing. So i cannot access the marketplace or edit the profile. I already tried deleting the game and the saved data but nope. Of course i checked my PSN account is fine.
Also i would like to understand better how it is meant to work. In the past i think there was a login mechanism to link the PSN account to the Microsoft account. This seems to be gone now, and only the PSN login is available.
Is this expected? I think the online documentation still talks about linking the two accounts.
How can you say it is a PlayStation bug? Did you try to reproduce it on a PS4 with latest Minecraft ?
As i explained i'm connected to the PSN with my account, any other game can use PSN and works online. Only Minecraft cannot go online.
Minecraft shows a button that says "Login to PlayStation account" but when clicked it does nothing. So it is an issue related to Minecraft or to how Minecraft interacts with the PlayStation OS. I just installed the game and it shows this issue, that prevents going online.
It is a severe issue so i would appreciate a more collaborative reply that just a simple and unmotivated statement.
Using the button combination "L1 + R1 + L2 + R2 + OPTIONS + Touch Pad" i was able to reset the login data and got back to the button to login into my microsoft account. It worked, all good! Nice!
