Recently I have run into the problem as well. It has always been around, but lately it is really bad.
I can take up to 5 times to attempt to eat a food before it actually counts as being eaten. Redstone ticks extremely slowly, and so my contraptions take ages to actually activate. Mobs move in increments instead of steadily flowing. Water slowly and unevenly pushes players or mobs that are flowing in it.
I do not know what is wrong. Everyone on my realm experiences some parts of this (some worse than others). Hopefully this problem is fixed soon!
Yes, I took them off multiple days ago and got it to work. I also think it is a problem with custom HUD's that texture packs offer, so if you can find a way to fix it, that would be great. I would like the texture pack I had back in working order. It is called Pure BDcraft. There is another BDcraft that has a HUD that does not work either, I think it is vanilla BDcraft, but I am not sure.
IF YOU USE A TEXTURE PACK THEN TAKE IT OFF AND TRY TO JOIN AGAIN!!!!
With some troubleshooting, I found out my friends who did not play with the texture pack got on just fine, but those who did always crashed. So. with no help from mods, I figured it out after a week of this issue and emailing Mojang trying to figure out how to fix it.
If this works for you, then please tell me, I hope everyone is having the same issue with this problem, and if not, then maybe I can help troubleshoot atleast a little bit
The only recent thing I saw was a conversation on reddit with people having the problem, but it was back in the update to 1.10, which is not really that helpful. They also said that logging into the realm as the host updates it and it will update in 72 hours if the host doesn't, yet obviously that is not the case here.
I updated my game, how do you update a realm? I have been having the same issue, and posted about it, yet I have gotten no responses from mods on how to fix it.
How was it not letting you in? Was it crashing your game or just saying you could not connect?
Whoever has this problem, please vote for it, it literally stops us for playing with our friends, and it sucks.
I have been contacting Cobble, and they say they see activity, so either the activity is when someone tries to join and crashes, which obviously is not activity, or someone is getting on my realm and I have no way of finding out who it is.
I feel as though they should add a way of seeing who is on the realm and when. It would make it a lot easier to find people who are greifing and causing trouble rather than just reverting the save
My friends that I have talked to cannot get on just as I can't either. It has been a week since the update came out and still nothing.
Granted, I have had Minecraft for almost a decade now and I have never had a major problem like this, but a week is a long time to fix something this big
This is so annoying! I have been watching this issue for over 2 months (my comment is back up there somewhere), and I have NOT seen any mods say anything.
All they do is pop in and say someone else has duplicated the problem, and that they get referenced here. That is just sad.
As I know other people have said, the big servers can run hundreds of people with almost no problem at all, but a small little itsy bitsy realm with a max of 10 people can sometimes barely even run a few? That seems really messed up to me.
I am extremely tired of having to deal with this. At least if some mods can come and say SOMETHING useful, that would be a huge step in the right direction. Referring people here after the problem is duplicated does not help. Correct me if I am wrong, but it shows us that you care less about fixing the problem than grouping everyone together so your list of problems can look nicer.
Watching the number of votes on this issue go higher and higher and higher does not give me any hope that they will fix this issue, and very well may have me cancelling my subscription to realms. Why would I pay for something that the owners could care less about fixing a huge problem with it?? To me...that makes no sense.
Minecraft is an amazing game, I just think it is sad to see this happen to so many people and they do not even directly say anything to us that is really all that helpful. For such a big business platform and hosting shows to give out information about an update...they do not even have a call center. Even smaller places/businesses have a call center, and those are so useful because you can transfer much more data through your voice (and have it be much more meaningful), compared to over text on a screen.
All I want is some mods to take time from fixing tiny little pointless bugs to fixing a huge issue that is ruining the experiences of many! A tiny faulty texture is much less important that a huge lag spike (or even lag session) that ends up killing you via elytra, eating, or drinking, or having minecarts go slower than walking, or standing in unloaded chunks and floating in the void, or having Redstone contraptions fail or take forever to compute due to the low framerate.
These are much more pressing issues...please fix them over stupid little bugs. Or at the very least - ASSIGN SOME PEOPLE TO THE PROBLEM. Maybe it will make stuff actually start to happen...maybe.
