Whoops! Apparently I am behind on the times. Reopened.
Does this happen only with ladders spawned in villages or does it also happen with ladders you would place yourself?
Confirmed on my own G2.
Ben,
You'll need to give us more information to help you. Firstly, please open a terminal window and type:
java -version
and paste the output here. Next, Please tell us what kind of Mac you have (iMac, MacBook Pro, mac mini, etc) and the model (mid 2010, late 2009, etc.) and version of OSX (Mountain Lion, Snow Leopard, etc.). This information can be found in System Information (Apple -> About This Mac -> More Info).
We look forward to hearing back from you.
As Mead said, this sounds like a video card issue. Please check the link provided. If the information provided fails to confirm the issue for you, please open another ticket.

Check to see if you're running the non-demo version of the application, your SD Card is not full, and your device is supported for MCPE. I look forward to hearing back!
