my ps4 has the same issue. i loaded in and it told me about the update but it wouldnt let me select ok or scroll to see the changelog. i restarted the app and it brought me to the main menu but again i cant select or change what option to select. the yellow phrase attached to the title moves, the background moves and the audio chimes but thats it.
Issue resolved. Removed and re-added friend. Was then able to receive invite to world.
