I've been playing the game for 7 years now and though I've only played java for 2 I can confirm this is a bug. It's happened so that the last 2 days whenever I start my Minecraft it will not respond and I would love to be able to play as Minecraft is literally my life and I'm currently helping a friend build a project so it isn't helpful that my Minecraft won't work.
