YESSSS OFFICALLY CHANGED TO FIXED! Cant wait for the next bug patch update!
Temporary fix! Sorta?
Okay so I was working on a work around until it gets properly fix. Just changing to peacful mode every time you enter is no fun and also gets rid of mobs with important drops, so I started looking into a way to just get rid of pigmen. I came up with this command:
/tp @e[type=minecraft:zombie_pigman] ~ ~-600 ~
It instantly teleports all zombie pigmen to the void, so no lag from their drops! So you can plug this into a infinitely repeating command block (dont forget to /gamerule commandBlockOutput false to hide chat spam) and there will be a bit of visual junk of pigmen constantly trying to spawn in the distance and instantly dissapearing, but no more angry pigmen constantly attacking you!
But the new problem this causes is that without pigmen taking up the majority of the mob spawn limit, you get SO MANY other mobs spawning. Especially ghasts. I cant say how it effect gameplay in a nether fortress atm but in the regular sections of the nether your swamped with ghasts, endermen, and magma cubes.
So if anyone wants to mess around and help me find a way to limit hostile mob spawning in the nether on a single player world, feel free to add on.
Just be patient that a third of the game required to reach the other third of the game is inaccessible if you do the very easy mistake of accidentally hitting a pigmen, when theres been 2 major bug updates since this became a problem? I literally made this account a few days ago just because of this bug, so I dont know too well how things work around here. But I dont even know server owners or anything, I usually play minecraft solo so I cant assist in adding votes. But this bug is so major they should have noticed it by now.
Is there a reason why it says unassigned? If this has been a problem since 1.14 came out mid April, have they seriously made no effort to get someone on fixing such a disruptive bug thats been known for almost 6 weeks when its borderline game breaking if your trying to play normal survival?
Currently playing most recent version 1.14.2 and in a single player vanilla world. The Pigmen spawn too quickly and too much to do anything about them. Switching to peaceful to despawn them, then going back to normal difficulty doesnt make their anger go away. Even if I managed to fight back before they overwhelm me one spawns behind me and kills me from behind before I can even turn around. I made an account on this site just to PLEASE ASK THIS BE FIXED. I cant just keep peaceful on in the nether forever, it takes away both the challenge, and multiple mobs with important drops! At this point its so frusterating that if I could remove pigmen as a mob entierly I would...
Im wondering how such a huge bug got missed before 1.14.3 (pre release 3) got released? Im not entoerly sure how bug fix pre releases work because I usually ignore them do to unstability, but theres a major game breaking bug not fixed in 1.14.2 that I cant play with so suddenly Ive been here since pre release 1 learning all about how this bug report site works and stuff.
