if you want palm trees, make your own or find a mod
perhaps add more memory. do so by opening the launcher, going to installations, clicking the three dots on the installation you want and going to edit, click more options, go to jvm arguments, and changing the closest number to the left from 1 to however many gigabytes you want
/gamerule doMobSpawning false ? if so then animals qualify as mobs, along with hostile creatures and npcs.
