Happened to me 3 times in 1.21.4. I had to reenchant my sword thrice.

Can confirm in 1.21.3. Creeped me out.

It's not anything wrong with the torches, its whats wrong with the sunlight. Sunlight is supposed to be brighter than torches but it is the other way around.
