okay, I downloaded a copy of the world and verified the behavior was the same. i also put it into creative to test some other portals. so it seems it will generate the portal in the nether if there is no portal within 128x128 blocks IN the nether, so this means i need to be 1024x1024 blocks away in the overworld. (i tested this at ~1050,1050 and ~550,550 the 550 one linked to the original portal but the 1050 generated a new portal in the nether) so its probably working as intended (if this 1024 block distance is intended), i will apply to update the wiki to make it clear (it does state otherwise in the POI search section). side note: 128*8=1024

eh, press is appropriate for pocket edition; maybe some windows devices will use touchscreen. perhaps this should be dynamic based on the input method (in a similar way to controller and keyboard key icons change using different input methods)
