Proceed west to shipwreck. Acquire treasure map and empty map. Continue to village and fill in empty map. Make cartography table, make paper and, while holding treasure map in off-hand, expand new map. Only one expansion is enough to mess up the treasure map but I had expanded it fully before I noticed a problem.
