I have exactly the same problem, I had over 60 FPS, with 32 of render distance almost everywhere, even in areas with many entities… everything changed in the snapshot that followed the 25w08a!
So, I’m staying in 25w08a… it’s a little bit sad because I would be happy to use all the new mechanics with leads, the happy ghast, etc.
However, I cannot accept to reduce my render distance to 16, and even with that, to have only 25 FPS in area where I’m most of the time.
I didn’t know what exactly they changed between the snapshot 25w08a and the 25w09, but the problem appeared at this moment!
Please, Mojang, is it possible to check what exactly you changed between these updates? (Because the problem is still there in the most recent updates…)
Personally, I really want to use the super new mechanics that have been added in the last updates, however if the game becomes unplayable with the recent updates, I’m forced to stay in 25w08a until this problem gets fixed, if it’s fixed one day.
