I have been having the same problems. It's probably related to the hot fix 1.16.100 because before that my game was running perfectly fine. The chunks are rendering really slow too, it's almost unplayable for me now. Also there's a delay in placing and breaking blocks, and the sounds are also delayed. When I take damage it takes like four seconds for the sound of me taking damage to play. The chunks though are probably what's really bad because I can run faster then the chunks can render. Side note my phones android version is 9 if you want to test this.
