I'm not the original reporter but currently following the thread and due though this appears to be to this affecting the 1.19 version (with 1.20 shortly approaching) from the reported 1.16 version being affected by the bug referred; per your response, may you reopen this 3year old ticket (Or open a new ticket and apologies that I can't attach a video) using the formatting advised as follows:
Steps to Reproduce: 1. Craft or Locate an Active Beehive. 2. Dig 2 blocks under the Active Beehive and place Campfire. 3. Wait until Beehive is harvestable and harvest/bottle Honey.
Observed Results: The bees become aggressive and attack the player.
Expected Results: From research, the bee hive should be affected by Campfire as long as the smoke can reach the hive (1-3 blocks beneathe hive)
