this still happens without cheats on too, just climb high, maybe pillaring or using ladders, and this works on multiplayer and singleplayer. Oh, and on mobile devices, like kindle fire and ipad, too.

It hasn't happened to me since Ii reported the issue, but if it does again, then I will update this page.
