Nothing in the log at all. I tried to activate the debugging (/debug start), but it doesn't seem to make the logging any more verbose in any occasion.
That chunk is not really near the spawn point.
I'm op and can't do anything either.
The users have placed torches, dug and put chests there. If that was a protected area, they never could have done that in the first place.
Thanks,
Is there a place for suggestions submission? I'm glad to know others (you) were thinking the same thing. Sad to know that it never went anywhere.
Recap:
4 tablets: one host plus three other players. One of the players crashes and reboot => other two players get also disconnected from the host. Only the host gets to keep his stuff.
That's the bug.
The rest of the description were workaround suggestions.
Really feels like this has been put to "Duplicate => resolved" a bit too fast here.
And I failed to see why it is a duplicate of MCPE-55. I didn't say that a joining player should have his last inventory, which of course would be nice, but that a disconnected player should have his stuff left where he was, as if he died, so that anybody could come and save the stuff instead of it being lost.
This is a suggestion for a workaround that would minimize the frustration caused by the bug that others gets disconnected too for no reason.
Excuse me, but the main problem is that if one of the three player crashes, the other 2 get also disconnected. All this time, the host (fourth player) has no problem whatsoever.
Please close this bug.
I thought I was op, but there was a typo in the op list so I wasn't.
Turned out it was indeed the spawn region protection. I don't know how or when this switch enabled itself, but that was it.
I put
spawn-protection=0
and that was solved.
I never altered that value directly in the first place and for the first few months everybody was able to place block near the spawn point (which is not 0, 0, 0 as I first assumed). Don't know what triggered that change.
