I came to report the same issue. I have a wired connection. I would believe that it is a bug.

Appears to constantly be loading. Have yet to get an error resulting in waiting for an elongated period of time.
Also appears to be occurring on the Nintendo Switch as well.
Confirmed on Windows 10 and Nintendo Switch as well
