I normally get around 370 frames with a chunk distance of 29. After placing around 100 signs filled to the max with the most complex Chinese characters i could find. i was able to bring myself down to nearly 30fps regardless of chunk rendering distance. Looking up into the sky brings back some frames but even with my back towards all of them my fps was still a little over 30.
