Guess I got my hopes up a little too high... mc's freezing again after the screen, but I'm on the minecraft help chat looking for answers.

Sorry I didn't word this carefully. So when it freezes, I'm forced to ctrl+alt+del and go to task manager, and then once it opens, I click on 'end task', but after a few more clicks, it asks to end process. After about 5 mins, minecraft closes, and the launcher opens. And I thought you meant the 1.8 snapshot thing, sorry...
