I switched to using a Windows 10 computer which is a lot less glitchy, so the problem is over for me. However, my brother still uses his tablet and this is still an issue for him (he can't join servers, make new worlds, join realms, join LAN worlds, or really anything but opening previously created single-player worlds).

Someone commented to my report telling me that the bug will be fixed in version 1.16.100 so I hope that comes out soon for your sake and mine.

I am also having this problem on Minecraft bedrock edition and this has been driving me crazy as well. I have relied on my brother to play Minecraft via multiplayer but I can't make my own worlds.

I have reported this bug also at MCPE-96493

and have been told that it was fixed in a beta version of Minecraft which I don't have. I want to play in the current version 1.16.20 and not some other version. I hope that this is fixed soon.

I also had this problem while playing. It seems that you can't get out of the water at some spots. Then you swim away and come back to a different spot and it works. This is happening in an old type world while playing multiplayer with my brother.

I do not have the Minecraft Beta as I said within my description I have 1.16.20 PE, not this "beta". I was not able to do what I want in Minecraft today because of this glitch/bug/error.

I have been having this same problem in an old world. If I dive into the water and swim around a bit I can come back onto land but it's still pretty annoying.
