MC-190812 Default Config/Keys Reset When Multiple Accounts Are Active Invalid

Comments

Then the launcher is incredibly flawed and needs to make it easier for players to properly create a new folder, rather than making it appear as if they have done so (when they select a different installation). I never understood why the warning existed for me because from my perspective I was selecting a different installation like the warning suggested.

The two installations were independently created in the launcher. I chose a different one to switch between versions, but do not know where to find the folder containing different installation profiles in the .minecraft folder.

To Reproduce:
1) Change gamma value in Minecraft options file to anything besides the default.
2) Launch game in 1.12.2 using one installation
3) While 1.12.2 window is open, change installation and select a different MC account.
4) Launch game in 1.16 rc-1
5) Enter a single single player world in the 1.16 rc-1 window.

While you can see the default settings in the main menu of the 1.16 rc-1 window, the gamma reset is not evident until the player enters a world.
