Once you find the PID (process id) of the server, echo "500000" > /proc/PIDHERE/timerslack_ns. Do note this requires a root shell. You have to do this every time after you start the server.
Can confirm that setting `timerslack_ns
` to `200000
` or higher makes the CPU usage drop.
I guess this can be used as a workaround until the underlying issues gets resolved.
You are using a custom texture pack, please return to the default one and see if the issue still persists.
I think this was a feature added when the particles coming off of lava and the plopping sound were added.
This might be a LWJGL issue and not a Minecraft one, try updating to the newest version of LWJGL and try again perhaps.
