Update: ive tried different arrangements. used magma blocks to prevent them from thinking its safe to use the job block and everything. From what i have online, nothing works. They just keep stealing other job blocks.

Ok, so now i blocked off the villager from taking the job and he still takes it

So i have some locked in trades for 4 villagers and it seems like they cant keep their job because the other ones that arent locked in refuse to take their own lectern and want to take the lectern from the locked in ones

So now they just keep repeatedly switching jobs.

It seems like only few actually lose their job. Some just dont lose their job when i break the one in front of them.

So i tried covering the lecterns, and it seems like now they can lose their jobs, but they keep getting jobs that are out of reach and i cant get them to take there job for about 30 seconds. Its really annoying.
