Our server has a world that was generated in a previous 1.14 snapshot and we have been using the latest snapshots as they came. Upgrading to 19w14a caused chunk loading to be unbelievably slow - it could take minutes to load in a radius of ~5 chunks. Moving in certain directions near the edge of the loaded world causes single chunks to appear only moments beforeI am about to enter the chunk. However in some directions it is a hard edge and I have to wait a while for the chunks to load.
Reverting the world to 19w13b made it better again when it comes to overworld, however a similar issue persists when moving to the nether (as I recall, it did not occur before switching to 19w14a and back). Even then, on 19w13b the slow loading of the nether is multiple times faster than the situation described above. After a server restart the issue seems to go away for a short time.
Our world is lke 1.3GB but I can upload it to Google Drive if needed.
The server is running on Debian with a 3rd gen i3, 4GB DDR3 and a Kingston SSD.
Can confirm, added another crash report
Upgraded from 19w09a as 19w11a was not usable for us due to the previously placed barrels crashing us. Now updated to 19w11b and it seemed to be fine at first (at least one barrel placed previously worked) but then it still crashed with the same error at one point, player reports he opened a barrel. Running my server (1.14pre3) with
fixed the issue on a world played on previous 1.14 snapshots as well.
