….I think I might have been having the issue, I solved it by deleting the “preferences” file, then naming a folder “preferences” and stuffing the folder where the original file once was.

P.S the version in the report might not be a 100% accurate; none of the versions in the “Affected Version/s” list, were 1:1 with the version of the launcher that I am using for Steam Deck (Pretty sure it’s the latest version, tho.)

To go into more detail, Step 1: locate the file named “preferences” which is located within default, which itself is within webcache2. Step 2, delete the preferences file. Step 3, name a folder “preferences” and place it where the aforementioned file once was.

The file is called “preferences” I deleted it, then I name a folder “preferences” and put the aforementioned folder in the place of the problematic file.
(…this latter part seems to have stopped, but it may or may not come back…)
Turns out that if you delete the preference file, then name a folder with the same name, and put it in the place of said file, that fixes the issue for some reason, at least that worked with me. (P.S the preference file is in webcache2.)
…And now I have to deal with this nonsense!!!!!

Okay, i don’t think i am actually using a later version (only reason i concluded that was cause' the loading screen changed from the copper golem, to husks riding the zombie camels, I don’t recall/know what they are called,) But regardless, the issue is still there, and likely NEVER going to be fixed as mojang clearly can’t figure it out, despite people straight up telling them what the problem is.
UPDATE: I am now using a later version
UPDATE: Deleted and reinstalled, and it’s now not even letting me sign in!
Is the Mojira staff even reading the comments….?
