This JUST happened to me. Playing on a (very not new) 1.19 world... short power outage.. Reloaded world when the power came back on and no advancements or stats.
LUCKILY I had JUST backed up a couple hours ago.. But otherwise I would have been really .... irritated.

any eta on 1.14.3pre4? Normally I wouldn't even bother asking, but man they been cranking these things out like crazy lately, that this long a pause (on such a MAJOR issue) seems crazy lol

Have you noticed this issue before, on the same laptop? Does your laptop keyboard have a function key? (Usually blue, in the lower left, and labeled "FN") Most laptops squish as many keys "in to one" as they can. The function keys (F1-F12) are usually the first to go. If you look at your F3 key, I bet it has several notes on it. One is probably a lightbulb, and the actual "F3" key is a combination of your function key and that key. IE: FN+F3

@J.J. Berkhout If I had to venture a guess, I would be willing to bet it's any entity that is attached to a block. They said in the patch notes that they changed the way torches (and the like) attach to glass panes, iron bars, (etc).

To confirm: All frames are gone. Placing new ones crashes game.
Going back to pre2 :-/

EDIT: Just for curiosities sake, I opened my 1.14.3pre3 world in 1.14.3pre2 (to see if it somehow had saved the item frame data) and the item frames, the items within them, etc etc, are all gone. Sooo... Hopefully you didn't do much in this pre-release without a backup

vanilla 1.12.2 does not load at all. errors out with:

If I load snapshot 17w43a I can get into game, but there is no sounds (AT ALL), and I cannot play online.

EDIT: I have tried un/re-install. Deleting .minecraft folder. Redownloading and un/re-installing. With and without snapshot. And updating Java. Error process above EDIT still existent.
