Hello! I just tested this out on a Normal Instance of Minecraft 1.21. I didn't experience any lag or frame drops, though may also just be me, hopefully someone else can help out here if this is a reoccurring issue, it may also be your Graphic & Visual Settings on Minecraft. Did you happen to have any Shaders, Mods or Use a Certain Client?
Can confirm in 1.21, this is still a reoccurring issue.
