I'm having the EXACT same issue with the latest version 2.1.2118!!
I've updated yesterday to get the new 1.13 content, but now I can't open ANY profiles with custom mods in it. (for example, FORGE 1.12)
no crash log was generated (it seems the new launcher won't even launch the game!), just the attached launcher log:
