It has been noted that touchscreen mode was enabled and this bug occurred in touchscreen code.
PostScript: Pardon the terminology and ignorance, by 'vanilla bukkit' all that was meant was 'bukkit without any plugins'. Granted it's still technically a 'mod' in and of itself being bukkit; the client was still pure vanilla, and I had thought the crash was purely client-side based on the report. Could very well be wrong.
I can confirm this. Most mac users have this setup, as it gives more workspace - until I read this report, I was unsure what had caused this, thought it was just a 'standard' Mac bug from the start.
