I am a new player. While using my anvil a few times it disappeared. This kept happening. I was sure this must be a bug. I thought I was doing something wrong because there was no picture of an anvil being destroyed it would just disappear. Also there was no notice that your anvil was broken. Before I submitted a bug report I searched and found this thread. I am assuming that my issue is the same.
I too believe the anvil gets destroyed too quickly. I have probably lost 8 to 10 anvils in a very short time period.
. I would like to see:
A big notice saying something like "The anvil has broken from excess use" and/or
A sequence on screen of the anvil breaking to show it's destruction and/or
A pile of rubble shows for a while where the anvil used to be.
