I ran into this issue myself and it turns out the problem was that I had the game installed to a different drive and that cause the files to encrypt for some reason, I was able to copy my saves by adding them to a 7-zip archive and them moving that to another folder then reinstalling the game to my c: drive then unpacking the zip file and moving my worlds back
