I just updated to 1.4.6 and am still getting this crash bug. After some testing, it is only if Minecraft is logged in with the window on my external monitor. If I open and login on my main screen (Macbook Pro) the crash doesn't happen. Additionally, if I open and login on my main screen, then drag the window over to the external monitor, I do not experience this bug.
The bug only happens if I launch Minecraft, drag the window to my external monitor, THEN login and try to open a chest or inventory.

This is still happening for me. I am running 1.4.6 on a MacBook Pro. After some testing, launching MC and clicking "Login" on the main screen doesn't cause a crash. Launching and clicking "Login" if the window is on the external monitor, opening inventory or chests causes a crash everytime. I have uploaded my most recent crash log.
