Fortune only works on ores, tree foliage, crops, and some other miscellaneous blocks. I suggest you read the wiki page on it.

Yeah, it's getting a bit annoying walking round in the nether, and you can't hear the ghast, all you hear is the boom when the fireball hits. It makes it more thrilling though 😃

I have the same problem, and it only started after I updated minecraft to 1.16.200. And my Cousin has the problem where he clicks on minecraft, it displays the mojang logo, but then it flickers red and black and will not load.
