What's the status of resolution for these bugs?
Not a rhetorical question, and not flaming/raging here - this has gone on for so long now, want to know: Why is the matter continuously going unresolved/ignored, even in the master threads?
When is this going to be resolved? it has been going on for countless months now. Things work fine in 1.12, but in 1.13 scrolling is broken. It makes no sense that this is being wholly ignored, while at the same time the game is literally being marked to the Mac platform.
What's the word on resolution?
That's what I'm left wondering too, seriously. If they are going to abandon it, then out of respect for everyone they just need to be forthcoming and officially outright say it, so we can all move on. This routine of repeatedly bringing up this issue - "it's broken... fix?" "it's broken... fix?" "it's broken... please, fix?", and then to only be ignored repeatedly, is absurd. And it's absurd not just from the standpoint that you're dumping all over your own customers, but to the point that their concern about critical functionality and playability in their own released products is below par. And that's disheartening.
To blow off your player base like this is something that I'd expect from like Activision or EA, but not Mojang. I just don't get it.
And here I was about to buy additional licenses for my family for xmas so we could all play together (and we all have Macs)... Thank friggin' god I didn't jump the gun on that purchase this holiday season. Time to start looking around on Steam instead? I guess? Just in case?
Yes, please, do speak with them about this, beyond a simple "ping" if you can. Bugs do happen of course, and that's ok. But this? This is a significant issue, and it has now existed for several months. It's baffling why the issue is not resolved, and it's frustrating and especially disappointing that a significant chunk of the player base, and the very platforms the game is literally advertised as supporting, are not being supported and taken seriously (seemingly). 😞 👎
Thanks for your reply on the 15th.

Any word yet on resolution for this bug? Mojang explicitly sells Minecraft for MacOS... yet support for this matter (and the gamers) seems to be going nowhere. Sorry to be terse/short here, but it has been months since 1.13 was released (in July, and it's now November, which is 5 months later, and still, to this date, it's not playable in full. As community servers are being updated, a huge chunk of us are being left behind because 1.13 is broken.
Again, noticeable across multiple machines:
1) Mouse scroll sensitivity is broken (a lone scroll click does nothing, and reckless/quickly scrolling works ok)
2) also, mouse scrolling doesn't work at all when crouching (you can't change tools at all when crouching).
3) Interface scale doesn't carry over correctly when switching between different versions (1.12 interface might look fine, but 1.13 is ultra tiny, and anytime you have to switch between versions you have to frustratingly mess with the UI to get it looking consistent)
Any idea when this is going to be resolved?
Thanks,
MTS
I didn't notice anyone comment on it skimming through the notes just now, but it REALLY needs to also be noted that this isn't just scrolling between tools. Also this: when you crouch and try to change tools, NO SCROLLING HAPPENS. You can't crouch and change tools at all.
This really does need to be looked at, beyond "mouse sensitivity". And even with that, I wouldn't call it mouse sensitivity, because for me I can only seem to get a tool change to happen when a scroll action is a "double-click" (two scroll notches advanced). When I just scroll notch/click once, nothing happens.
Anyway, it has rendered the game virtually unplayable for me, which is especially frustrating because the server and crew I play with are all moving on to 1.13 very, very soon, and this bug has existed for months now.
Setup for me is:
Discovered the bug on OSX 10.12.6
Just upgraded to OSX 10.14, and the bug persists
Mouse is a totally un-special generic "Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse v2.0"
Machine is imac Retina 5k, 27inch, late 2015 (4Ghz Intel core i7, 32 GB ram)
Also, this issue with the UI, which is likely suited for another thread:
On all the snapshots prior to 1.13, when you'd switch between versions, the UI would retain its look, scale and feel just fine. But when you switch to 1.13, the US is scaled absurdly small, and you have to totally mess around with the scaling just to get it to look right... which ends up making all the other snapshots look HUGE in scale when you switch back to them.
1.13 has a lot of neat features, sure, but good lord... it's just enough of mess in terms of controls and UI. A lot of great features are in this new version that I (and a lots of others) can't even play and enjoy. 😞 Huge frustration.
Note: Edited for clarity.
When is this going to be fixed?
