Wait, so putting platforms above y:39 won't spawn slimes then? This is confusing
I see. It was my understanding that they only spawned UNDER y:40, but you're saying I should dig down TO 39. sounds easy enough. I'll try this and get back to you.
I see. Are you saying y:39 - surface in a swamp biome? Also how do you suggest finding all nearby caves to light up, and what is the radius around my farm I should be spawn proofing? I hear its tougher on Bedrock or the new update, something like that
Hi Eyeth,
The coords I provided in my first comment are read like this: southwest corner of the two chunks - northeast corner of the two chunks. Hope that helps. Yes my base is located in a savannah next to a ravine and very tall mountains.
Are you saying that in order to get my farm to work I have to either dig two chunks worth from Y-6 to the surface, OR light up every single cave in a certain radius, or both?? That seems like a huge amount of effort to just get a slime to spawn. Perhaps I should move my farm to a swamp biome instead?
You're speculating here. I said I afk'd for multiple hours, which would allow the day and night cycle to occur many times. Please stop ignoring the information I originally commented with.
I have at least two platforms of three levels high above the first, giving them plenty of space to spawn. That is not the issue
I see. Sounds like I might need a beacon to get this done easier.
