I can verify this on ps3. Dogs were working fine until last update and are now broken. They will not stand up, and have no option to follow. Only the animals I had during the update were affected. New animals (so far only cats; I have not gotten any more dogs) are working fine.
I also added some new texture packs at the same time as the update, so those may be the cause as well.
