This is intended, as Minecraft sorts the eggs by entity name.
The entity name for a zombie pigman is PigZombie, therefore this is intended.

By 'crash' do you mean the whole game shuts down or the server kicks you?
If the whole game closes, please include the crash report (this can be found at %appdata%.minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt).

There seems to be no particular issue here.

Could be something to do with your 512x resource pack?

I believe this is intended.

This doesn't happen in 1.9.2 anymore, so it has probably been resolved.

Do you use OptiFine or similar?
I have the same issue with OptiFine.
