@unknown, I doubt its a CPU or RAM Issue. Because he can still play the game.
My guess would be check hard-drive space, I know that happens with low space.

The issue might be better taken up with Spigot, it might be a issue their end. Ask around on spigot to see if others are experiencing the issue.
